Uganda to participate in the annual ITB Berlin Exhibition 2013
As Uganda participates in this year's ITB Berlin Exhibition, a delegation tourism stakeholders shall be led by the Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities Hon. Maria Mutagamba, together with the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB).
The delegation which includes both the Public and Private Sector will be promoting Uganda as a unique tourism destination under the theme, "Uganda the Pearl of Africa, Your Eco-Tourism Destination".
This year, the Uganda stand has been designed with a display area for cultural artifacts from across the diverse cultures of Uganda. During the show, we will also echo the several accolades that Uganda has received recently; including rankings by Lonely Planet and the National Geographic, together with the recent award to River Nile as one of the seven wonders of Africa.
UTB has partnered with UWA, AUTO, Ndere Troupe, CAA, UNDP, Nile Breweries Ltd, Brussels Airlines and the Kampala Sheraton Hotel in an effort to make participation in this event a success. Several Tour Operators and Hoteliers shall be exhibiting at the fair. These include, Uganda Wildlife Authority, Civil Aviation Authority, Speke Uganda Holidays, Serene Excursions, Go Uganda Safaris, Across Africa Holidays, Crystal Safaris, Destination Jungle Ltd, Whisltling Duck Tours and Travel, Lake Kitandara Tours and Travel, Shoebill Safaris, Lake Basin Tours and Travel, Adventure Natural African Safaris, Sheraton Hotel Kampala, Lets Go Travel, Stebar Safaris, Bunyonyi Safaris, Churchill Safaris, East Africa Nature Safaris, Matoke Tours, East African Safaris Ltd, Nkuringo Walking Safaris, Able Safaris.
Last year, Uganda emerged as the 3rd Best exhibitor in the same exhibition.
