Uganda Wildlife Authority to host dinner for Business Leaders in Uganda

  • As part of the 2009 Year of the Gorilla conservation efforts, Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) launched the Friend a Gorilla campaign to give the public an opportunity to play an active role in the conservation of the mountain gorillas of Uganda by "friending" any of the habituated gorillas. The gorillas can be friended for only one US dollar ($1).

The Friend a Gorilla Campaign is primarily driven through the internet and can be accessed through www.friendagorilla.org and the social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

On 8 October 2010, Uganda Wildlife Authority will host a Business Leaders Dinner at the Serena Gardens as part of the Friend a Gorilla Campaign which was launched in September 2009.

The theme of the dinner is "Achieving Chest-Thumping Business Growth" and the Guest Speaker, will be Mr. Bart Dorrestein, the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Legacy Group in South Africa.
