The monthly Uganda Tourism Forum is back. This forum, introduced to enable stake holders get involved in open discussion on matters concerning the tourism industry of Uganda, shall be held between 2:30pm - 6:00pm on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the UgaThe past Tourism Fora have attracted Professionals, Policy Makers, members of the Business community, students, Tourist Guides, Tour Operators, Conservationists, Marketeers and many other interested people, who have felt obliged to contribute to the development of the tourism industry of Uganda.
The next topic of discussion will be: "Uganda is perceived as an expensive tourist destination. Challenges and way forward".
Mr Raymond Engena, (Director Tourism, & Business Development at Uganda Wildlife Authority) will give the key note presentation which will be discussed by a panel of eminent people including:
Dr Ahebwa Wilber (Coordinator Tourism Programme, Makerere University)
Mr Bonifence Byamukama (Chairman, Association of Uganda Tour Operators
Ms Vanice Mirembe (Kampala Capital City Authority)
Mr Edwin Muzahura (Marketing Manager - Uganda Tourism Board)We are also expecting some Members of Parliament and the Uganda Tourism Press Association who will be joining us so as to boost to this forum.
